Hello there!
There are so many artists that have their own newsletters (which - I can admit - have far better things to offer) and here I am with my very own rented space on the internet (my own website is a work in progress) but I’m not complaining.
Two years ago, I wouldn’t have believed I would reach where I am today. But I did.
Slowly but surely, I still have a long way to go.
I am a self-taught illustrator (or artist) from India. I am a Chartered Accountant and I currently have a full-time job in KPMG (one of the Big 4s).
It’s always better to plan and so I have divided my goals into tangibles and intangibles. So here are 4 things I want to achieve from my art journey in 2023 -
Tangibles
Illustrate a book (or a book cover!)
Make at least 25 zines. I know I can do it. I just need to focus.
Intangibles
Be more ME. Not copying someone’s style and not comparing myself to others. I am enough for me.
Finding inspiration and not waiting for it come. Build a routine and a process.
For the next one year if I achieve even 2 of these - I’ll consider it a major win for me.
I am a big procrastinator and so I know I’ll never start if I don’t put down my goals on the internet.
Call this positive manifestation or maybe even a prediction!

That's great 👍👏.. Congratulations to reach your goals. ✌✌
Great start
